Arrive in Paro International Airport and meet your guide. Visit the National Museum and Paro Dzong before an evening orientation walk through Paro Town. Overnight in Paro.
Journey through Bhutan’s western valleys on a pilgrimage to its most iconic monasteries. Explore the fortress-dzongs of Paro and Punakha, wander through serene monastic courtyards in Thimphu, and ascend to the legendary Tiger’s Nest — Taktsang Monastery — clinging dramatically to a cliff 900 m above the Paro Valley. Along the way, connect with monks, artisans, and Bhutanese villagers whose lives are steeped in mindfulness and devotion.

Enjoy a scenic drive to Thimphu. Explore Buddha Dordenma, Memorial Chorten, and the Textile Museum. Evening leisure at Craft Bazaar or local cafés. Overnight in Thimphu.
Spend the morning at Changangkha Lhakhang and the Institute for Zorig Chusum. Afternoon visit to Dechen Phodrang Monastic School for a glimpse of student monks in training.
Drive to Punakha across Dochu La Pass (3,100 m) with 108 stupas and mountain vistas. Visit Punakha Dzong and enjoy a walk to Chimi Lhakhang (Temple of Fertility). Overnight in Punakha.
Return to Paro, stopping at the Dochula Royal Botanical Park. Evening free to rest and prepare for the Taktsang hike. Overnight in Paro.
Early morning hike to Taktsang Monastery (“Tiger’s Nest”). Explore the temple complex and enjoy panoramic views of Paro Valley. Descend and return to hotel for a hot stone bath. Overnight in Paro.
Breakfast and transfer to Paro Airport for departure, carrying memories of Bhutan’s sacred monasteries and tranquil valleys.
Visit the world-famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery perched on a cliff over Paro Valley, discover majestic fortress-dzongs, walk through ancient monastic courtyards, and connect with Bhutan’s spiritual heritage. Enjoy a blend of pilgrimage and adventure amid stunning Himalayan vistas and genuine local hospitality.
Best visited from March to May and September to November for clear skies and pleasant trekking conditions. Average hike time to Taktsang is 2 to 3 hours each way. Comfortable footwear and layered clothing are recommended. All monastery entries require modest dress and guides for access.
